Bruce e. Arkema is headed into mediation with his client, a real estate developer.  A development project in Chesterfield was brought to a standstill when lenders did not renew loans during the recent real estate bust.  But Arkema and his client, who filed for Chapter 11 bankrupcty, have worked to develop a reorganization plan that will repay creditors in full. (1/12) Read more here.

G. William "Bill" Norris, Jr. was recently appointed to the Capital Region Workforce Investment Board ("Resource"). Resource is a local, federally funded, workforce investment board (WIB) that works to increase private sector employment opportunities and to ensure the integration of services to prepare individuals to meet the needs of business and industry in the Richmond, Virginia region. Resource also oversees the activities authorized under the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998. By developing and maintaining a quality workforce, and by serving as the focal point for integrated local and regional workforce development initiatives, Resource aims to transform the workforce development system in order to advance the economic wellbeing of the region. christine a. williams has been named by the publishers of Virginia Lawyers Weekly as one of the "Influential Women of Virginia" for 2011. This recognition is richly deserved, as she has served with distinction in her profession and is also Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of TrePadges, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Comfort Zone Camp - two charitable organizations focusing on the needs of children.
